News and blues: We have a very special article that was run in Embrocation Cycling Journal this month. Here is an exert from the interview with Team TR's manager The Rhys.
E: Wow, big week for TR. Give us a brief synopsis.
TR: Yes! Coming into this week with three races on the calendar means this was the biggest week that we have had this season. We sent a bare bones squad to a TT and they can back with cash in hand! Very exciting! Next was a third place finish in the Swiss Belfort-Lure race for Eddie who was warming up for the French race in Lobet later that day. He astounded the peleton with his impressive win!
E: That is history in the making! Tell me about the division 6 jump and how it is effecting the team?
TR: Division 6 in less than a season! We are excited to race with some excellent teams and begin making our way up in the ladder. We have not expected to make it so quickly, but that speaks to the dedication and commitment of the team.
E: You have picked up a new rider in Alvin Lombard? Tell me this story!
TR: In a time of financial crisis a team was in contact who offered assistance. That has now developed into a friendship. Alvin looks to be here on loan from the team. He has the potential to be an excellent rider, but team TR may have to lose one of its top riders in order to afford this new member.
E: Its on everyones mind, Wimbly's stay was short, He has not been able to find a team and stay there. How did he get involved in this trade?
TR: It was sad to see him go. Wimbly is a rider who lives and breathes this sport and team TR was not the best fit. We hope that he is able to fulfill his potentials else where and there are no hard feelings.
E: Last question! Tell me the plans for team TR in the remainder of the season?
TR: It is little surprise that we have our sights set on some very big races in the near future. The team has been finalized and until then the team is going to focus on the taper to achieve top form.
E: Thank you for your time.
TR: Sure.

Yup, got the Div 6 bump last night! Really stoked about ALvin, but sad to see Duncan leave... He has been an excellent teammate. Hopefully Alvin proves to be a better match for Eddie's target race profile's. HUGE CONGRATS ON YOUR WIN!!!!!
Nice pickup with Lombard. I didn't even know you got promoted :p
My team released Grover Masten to them and post Bali GP will be sending Duncan Linton, our co-captain, their way...
The Alvin Lombard transfer is interesting! How much did he cost you? It certainly seems very generous of the selling team to give you a such good deal on such a talented and young rider; what's in it for them?
